Saints Defensive Records Set (Streak Now 11 Games)

The Saints set two team defensive records in their 20-17 win over Carolina and have since extended one of them. They eclipsed the record of 9 consecutive games holding opponents to scoring 20 points or less in a game which they were tied with the 1991 Dome Patrol Defense.
The Saints have now held their opponents to 20 points or less in the last 11 consecutive games, the longest streak in club history.
Additionally, the Saints Defense didn't allow a touchdown by an opponent in 2023 until 1:16 remaining in week 2 against the Panthers, the longest such streak to start a season in team history. They went 58 minutes and 44 seconds to start the season without allowing a touchdown. They were the last team in the league to give up a touchdown in 2023. Additionally, the Saints started the 2023 season 2-0 for the 1st time in 10 years.
