What is the definition of “Creole?”

I always figured if you were born and raised in this culture you were creole. I consider myself creole and I'm fish belly white. Grew up in the Saint Thomas projects then we moved to Mid City. As far as I know I'm French, German, Irish, English and a little bit Indian. I'm also a Yat.
