The the Saints offensive line has sidelined 4 to 5 starting Saints QBs in the last 4yrs.

Take it for what it's worth. Let's look at the decline in line play, which I think all can agree, currently sucks.

2019 PFF final line rankings= 5th
2020 PFF final line rankings= 8th
2021 PFF final line rankings= 18th
2022 PFF final line rankings= 21st
2023 PFF ranking to date= 23rd, probably going to slip after today.

What happened between 8th and 18th? Coaching? Sure Brees helped with some of this.

Roushar coached the line in 2019
Roushar coached the line in 2020
Then Nugent came in during the 2021 season and things declined.
Then Marrone came in during the 2022 season and is current coach.

I would say coaching is a part of the decline. Along with the other factors ya'll are discussing such as injuries and personnel.

Roushar is now at Tulane who had an outstanding year last year with great line play. No doubt he knows what he is doing.

Let's get this guy back.
Brees helped with all of that! Brees knew he was going quick pre-snap so he never really looked deep. He took 3-10 yard completions all game.
