What if I told you that we might be re-living the Mike Ditka era?

I'm no fan of DA, but he is miles ahead of Ditka as a head coach. And, from an organization perspective, there is no comparison between Loomis and Kuharich.

Ditka, in hindsight even during his success as Bears head coach, really was just a figurehead. He benefited from his tough guy persona and player reputation days in Chicago. The real brains behind his success there was Buddy Ryan. DA knows defense and knows how to coach that side of the ball. No comparison. The problem with DA is he is not a good head coach and hasn't acknowledged the deficiencies with PC.
I intentionally left Loomis out because that's another thread, and for the record I'm not a fan of his. However he deserves his spot in the Saints HOF whenever he leaves the organization.
If Loomis were the GM during the Ditka years, do you think the results would have been any different?

I agree that Mike & Buddy worked well together. Apart they had success but could never return and win the big game.
