I thought he was more than this. With the Raiders he usually kept them competitive before throwing a bone headed pick at the worst possible moment late in games. I had high hopes he would at least tease us with something more.
He shouldn't have played today. There were short balls to open receivers. He can't throw the ball away to avoid a sack. He locks in on targets, no shot clock. Played tough but we should have committed to one QB taking all the reps this week. Winston should have started.
Carr isn't it long term. I've said he isn't Cousins, Wilson, Stafford level but in the Tannehill and Jones tier. He wasn't a Defense away from being a top 10 guy. He is the classic 16-24 QB that says the right things and flashes enough to keep getting contracts.
