Underhill article on why the Saints O is so bleh

I don't think Nick knows what he's talking about. He's making it sound like Motion is the savior but it's simply not true. there are great offenses that don't use motion all the time. telling people not using motion enough is the problem is a phony distraction from the real problem.
I not going to say that Nick doesn't know what he is talking about, consistency is eh...lol. But this was a well written article about what's going on from a scheming standpoint

Underhill states, in regards to play action, an interesting set of facts: “The Saints are currently dead last in the NFL with 15 play-action pass attempts…. The lack of usage is a surprise because quarterback Derek Carr has a career 92.9 passer rating when deploying play action.”

I honestly think this comes with our run game being inconsistent though. But this was another area last season where I scratched my head at what was going on with the team. Things don't just drastically change from one season to another when that one thing has always been a constant. If you know, you know.

Carr has been awful on playaction this season, but so has our running game. We’re averaging 2 yds/att on play action (PFF).
