Tampa Has Done a Good Job Defending Us Since Drew Retired and Payton Leaving

They have done well since Sean left. But, that is basically how the Saints are now that Sean is gone. That is such an issue. We aren't the best by any stretch at game planning on offense, even our scripted drives are not great. We are HORRIBLE at in game adjustments on offense, and even worse at half time adjustments on O.

Tampa game was technically the first game this year we got points on the opening scripted drive. Of course that opportunity was taken away in the Tennessee game because we fumbled the kickoff. We did get 3 on our next drive.

Going back to look at last year now.
Off topic I know HAHA

In 21 games (last year and this year)

We have scored on 7 opening drives and not scored on 14 opening drives. 4 touchdowns and 3 FGs. The four touchdowns were against Arizona, Atlanta, Philly, and Carolina. In 2022 we were 3-3 in games we scored on the opening drive and 0-1 this year, unless you count the Tennessee game which we should not.

Of course looking back we were terrible Sean's last year as well. We scored on the first possession 4 out of 17 games. 1 TD and 3 FG's. We were 4-0 when scoring on our opening drive.
