Newsflash: NFL players don't need to 'break out' in order to be effective role players in the depth chart. If they know their assignments, add value on special teams and turn up ready to play on game days, that's the right answer.

It may not set your pants on fire, it may not tickle your saliva glands, it may not win you any points in your fantasy league, but it's what counts.

Potential is only ultimately worth something when it's realised. Until then, the rookie can watch, learn and practice until he's ready.
