@GrandAdmiral (and anyone else who's attended before), I'm considering heading down with the kids this year. How's the selection of vendors? Usually, our favorite part of cons is doing some shopping at the various booths.
They have a pretty big following of vendors that are committed to certain shows in addition to local folks that come in. Most of the locals are the same you'd might see in Lafayette.
On another note, I'm heading to NYCC next week. It's on the verge of replacing SDCC as the most popular.
