I think it should be outlawed, seems bush league, but I also wonder if defenses can somehow try to create those same physics on the other side of the ball. It’s possible I think.
Maybe bring in a heavy package and have some LBs “tush push” DEs into a wall of DTs trying to control the LOS? Keep CBs on the outside in case the offense tries something even more bush league than this play?
Or if you really want to go crazy, bring in your strongest linemen, even if they’re offensive guys, and have them create the defensive wall on the line.
Everyone keeps trying to defend against this play in a somewhat conventional nature, but I don’t think that’s how it’ll get done. Someone just needs to think outside the box.
No way can you tell me that a QB carrying a football, pushed by RBs into an OL can’t somehow be matched scientifically.
