So, all that says is that teams have the data, which in this case is aggregated by PFF, rather than BLESTO. The article even makes reference to prior data sources that were being used. Yes, they were even being used when I read my book.
Which is why I told you about BLESTO several posts ago. Not so outdated after all.
However, what they don't say anywhere is that the PFF
scores that are churned out for consumption by people looking to champion their favourite player are used in the scouting and grading process.
Just for clarity, the same organisation can collect lots of different data and do entirely different things with it, for different audiences. That's why your guy may not be getting the draft stock love you're jonesing for.
