I don't care about celebrities I just find it bizarre that people get so wrapped up the lives of these vacuous ego maniacs. I can see being a fan of a famous personality but this hero worship stupidity baffles me. They know every detail about their chosen object of their devotion and talk about them as if they a member of their family.
What's up with that?

Being a very famous and successful celebrity is very dangerous. You will become all that is venal about the cult of personality despite your assurances to yourself that you would never forget where you came from. It's impossible. I'm sure it would have happened to even me. I enjoy celebrity stories as much as the next person, but I start with the premise that they are all now dumb.
