USMNT - ‘23 and beyond

One part of the game we’ve been lacking besides a top shelf 9, is a guy who has ice in his veins in front of goal instead of flipping out. So many times over the years we just didn’t have a guy who could stay calm and finish.

Wondo v Belgium 2014 comes to mind.

Decades. We hadn't had a full on goal poaching player for as long as I can remember. Dempsey was close but he wasn't the full package threat (lacked speed) that keeps defenders honest.

But you preaching to choir here. That has, since the 90s, been my biggest critique of player development. Never had that guy.

Then I have to watch the likes of (in no particular order ) Drogba, Mueller, klose, Klinsmann, Ronaldo, etc etc. And we just couldn't find ONE? Made me mental lol
