What I read is that 44-45% of the vote went for Hamas. I don't know if or why turnout was low, but the United States historically doesn't have high turnout either. Ironically, it's the countries with sham elections that brag high turnout. Just like in this country, I would be careful about assuming the political beliefs of an entire country based on which side "won" any particular election.

No doubt. But let’s just say for numbers sake that 40% of the just the current voting population supports this terrorist group as leadership in a populace of near 5 million people…. That’s a horrific number to fathom given the tasks needed to be carried out to eliminate Hamas. That’s where I was going with this.
