The numbers I found were over 440k votes for Hamas. With over a million votes cast. How did 80% not vote? (His point not yours) In my initial post I said exclude women and children as I am thinking they don’t get a vote. That’s near a half million votes. I could be wrong but, nothing much forceful has been done since to remove them from power by the population. And who really knows how many support them at this point. I’d think it’s 50/50 worst case. In which case…. That’s roughly a million people. It’s not a moot point. Certainly not 80% of the population opposes their ideals and methods. At least prior to the last few weeks.
He's saying 80% of the current population didn't vote 17 years ago because they were too young to vote. Another thing that is important to note is there are a LOT of young people in their demographics.

Meaning, a huge chunk of the Palestinian population has never had a voice in their own government and territory. It's time Hamas is removed from power and allow the Palestinians to govern themselves without outside influence from Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah.
