If you get hit, you aren't going anywhere because you are blind and it hurts like hell. The bear is going to take off, blind or not, it ain't staying around.
Yeah, I made the mistake of taking out my contact lenses after eating a habenero pepper a few years
back. I washed my hands afterward,but it didn't remove all of the pepper oil. Needless too say it hurt
like hell and my right eye was useless for about 45 minutes. I can't imagine the pain caused by a
direct hit from bear spray.
