Kamara HOF'er?

12,000 Yds rushing is the benchmark now. Every Rb who has surpassed that mark except Frank Gore is in the
HOF. Gore will make it once he's eligible. I doubt the HOF voters would make a satellite back exception
for Kamara or Christian McCaffrey who has nearly the same numbers as Kamara.

Fwiw, Fred Taylor has 11,695 career Yds,and Steven Jackson has 11,438 and I doubt either of those
two will ever make it.Same with Corey Dillon with 11,421.

edit- Adrian Peterson isn't in either, but like Gore he will be a lock
Taylor, Gore, Jackson, and Dillon all weren’t much of receiving backs. That’s where I think Kamara will be viewed differently.

Kamara has more career receiving yards than those RBs right now, or just a few dozen yards under some of their totals, and still has about 3 more prime years left. He’s impacting the game in receiving more than they ever did in their primes.

I think if Kamara passes Marshall Faulk’s #1 all time RB receiving yard total (6875) by a few hundred, finishes with 10k rushing, and 120 total TDs, he’ll get in within 10 years after retiring. That would put him within the top 10 all time yards from scrimmage.

Gore and Fitzgerald are the only top 10 YFS leaders not in the HOF but they’ll be there soon. The RBs in the top 10 YFS received over 3000 carries to get most of their YFS, while AK’s getting his YFS from a closer split of carries and receptions.
