WR trade before the deadline? (Hypothetical Curiosity)

Before I begin, this is not in any way a bash on Olave or criticism of any of our players or expressing a desire to trade him. It’s pure opinion gauging based on an idea that popped in my head after reading someone’s tweet about Davante Adam’s getting traded. What I read was saying it’d be right for the Raiders to do it based on how little he’s being utilized and that he only went to LV to play with Carr, and then I also read another that said Loomis should be making a trade to improve the offense.

So… 2 parts to this question: how would you feel about some sort of trade to get Adams if it involves Chris Olave, and what compensation would you consider to be a good deal?

Olave is 23, and Adams is 30. He is in year 2 of a 5yr/$140m contract (no idea of what it’d cost to trade for him), and Olave is on year 2 of a 4yr/$19m contact with the 5th year option with financial details I don’t know about.

Having said that… I’d say Olave plus a 3rd rounder would be the most I’d want to give up to get Adams, but I think it could be done for a 5th if the Raiders wanna do right by him. What say you?

Hmmm so historically speaking we crap on a guy after he complained after a zero target game....to lust after a guy who complained after a 1 catch game. - yall are a trip

Interesting 🤔

The only thing I want from the Raiders is their stadium
The needs on offense are
#1 starting or backup OL help.
#2 Starting healthy, blocking & catching TE
trading a cheap excellent WR in Olave for an aging expensive WR in Adams is not smart

The needs on defense
#1 DE/DL depth
#2 secondary depth never is a bad thing--we have been lucky-due for some injuries
