His QB was having a hard time getting in rhythm but he is having a productive season no matter what reasoning people come up with for saying otherwise.Despite his production, he has dropped several, been hit in the facemask, and been called out for giving up on routes and loafing.
Sometimes stats don't tell the whole story. Lets take a more indepth look.
He's been targeted 77 times and only has 44 receptions. That means he is only catches 57% of the passes thrown to him, last year that was well over 60%.
He's only on pace to have 2 touchdowns, last year he had 4.
So while saying he's had "a really bad year" might sound like a stretch, it's very fair to say he has regressed this season and is having somewhat of a sophomore slump.
