The one going on as we speak in Gaza at the hands of the IDF:
Genocide is cited as "the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group."
Are the bolded portions inaccurate as to what is occurring?
I guess it's accurate if you believe Israel's aim is to destroy everyone in Gaza, or all Palestinians. That's an important part of the definition: "...with the aim of destroying that nation or group."
The definition isn't simply "the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group." By that definition, every major participant in WWII committed genocide against other nations.
