Israel (now broader Mid East discussion)

Eh, Israel doesn't have to oblige them either. I don't have a good answer for how Israel gets around that though.

I think the bottom line for Israel is they can't allow their citizens to be subject to threats of attack like what happened on 10/7. So, it's not like they can let Hamas get away with it.

Also, let's not forget Hamas is still holding well over 200 hostages. I don’t think anything stops until hostages are returned and Hamas surrenders.
I think folks are placing their feelings in harms way. There is no point in doing that. it stresses a human being unnecessarily.

It's simple, war is defined as the utter failure of diplomatic relations. When there has been an utter and complete breakdown of diplomatic relations there is not that civilization that we are accustom to. Much of the stress that people are feeling over this is moot, and that is frustrating.. The civilization aspects have failed. It's not that new rules take over, it's that all normal rules are moot.

There are no rules during warfare. It's very stressful to expect rules when their are no rules.

When Hamas sneak attacked, they threw all the rules out. What I expect going forward are no rules. NO RULES!!!
