Former NFL player Michael Oher claimed that he was never legally adopted

The studios and producers are the ones that made a killing. Looks like no one got a percentage of the gross in their contract. Shame.

I'm confused by Oher's attorneys assuming that Tuohy's made a lot more than they did. They had to research it before bringing the suit.

As for the split, I can agree that Oher deserved more than each of the Tuohy family members. His role and part of the story line is much more significant. But in the end, it looks like the proceeds they divided were paltry compared to what Disney and the cast made.
I have no problem with an even split....without the Tuohys there is no Michael Oher story. I'm not saying a case couldn't be made, but how would you put an objective value on the split?

Now granted maybe things didn't happen this way, but if I invite someone to stay in my home 24/7, support them, make them a part of family events and meals, stand with them on the biggest night of their life (the NFL draft), and buy them a vehicle they are family regardless of what any piece of paper says.
