A few things about that:

1. Reddit???? Come on. Does Annie actually code anything? A the bare minimum, Stack Overflow.
2. When it comes to programming, people in general do care in providing answers to those who seek help.
3. If you see something that is "obscenely incorrect", normally the reason people correct it is not that people love to correct others, it is that you recognize the damage that bad code can do. And usually you'd report such answers to have them deleted.

Now, there is something to say about coders posting different ways of doing the same thing, and coming up with terser, more effective ways of doing something.

Sorry, pet peeve.
i hardly write code, mostly scripting (powershell, python) and sql statements, hardly any html anymore (razor is too good), but now when i forget a function to call, i just hit up bard because it is 10x more efficient than using google's search directly. remember kids, if you use ai for coding, first be proficient in the language, second double and triple check the result.

stack overflow questions can be reddit-like comment funny, but usually very well moderated. a lot of talented people there.
