NFL Rushing Success Rate Percentage (Through Week 11 of 2023)
The only major detriment I can see is Hill runs w/such VIOLENCE! He seeks out a defender to knock into next week. Seems to be constitutionally unable to slide or run out of bounds.
Hill delivers more punishment than he receives when running with the ball. He does run with Violence and isn't afraid to be the aggressor. He hasn't been without injuries.
Hill suffered a concussion during the 2020 regular season, and he Missed 1 game because of it. He also suffered a knee injury in the Wildcard victory against the Bears which kept him out of the Divisional Round Playoff Loss to the Buccaneers.
The worst Hill has been hurt since entering the NFL in 2017 was in a week 5 game October 10th, 2021, against the WFT. He was running a vertical route deep down the right sideline and was open. Winston slightly overthrew him the ball. Hill dove and laid out for the ball with it on his fingertips when the WFT CB, William Jackson, III targeted Hill by leaving his feet and delivering a wicked blow to a defenseless Hills head with a forearm, a shoulder, and helmet to helmet contact. The hit knocked Taysom out. Ater laying on the field for several minutes he had to be helped to his feet to be placed on a cart to be taken into the locker room. He later said he didn't remember anything for 45 minutes. Jackson was penalized 15 yards for an unnecessary roughness call but was not ejected nor was he fined by the league for the hit. Hill missed playing the next two games that also included a bye week due to a concussion.
On November 17th, 2021, Hill suffered a foot injury (Pedal Foot Planter Fasciitis). He played through the pain of that injury without missing any games.
On December 2nd, 2021. against the Cowboys, Hill suffered an injury to his throwing hand, a Mallet Finger.
On January 9th, 2022, Hill suffered a foot injury (Pedal Lisfranc Fracture) against the Falcons in the final game of the 2021 season.
On July 29th, 2022, Hill suffered a Chest Bruise in training camp. On September 18th, 2022, Hill again suffered a Chest Bruise and sat out 1 game due to it.
On August 15th, 2023, Hill suffered a Grade 2 Abdomen Muscle Strain in training camp. It didn't keep him from playing in week 1 of the regular season this year.
Other than those injuries Hill has been fairly durable in his professional career considering the violent way he runs the ball. He suffered 4 different season ending injuries while in college, two knee, a broken fibula, and a dislocated elbow.
Football Is A Rough Sport! You Have To Be Tough To Play The Game For A Long Time At The Pro Level!
Through 10 games of the 2023 season Taysom Hill has not yet been injured.
