Was the Saints' Front Office (e.g., Loomis) Fleeced on the Sean Payton Trade?

Sean was brilliant his last season with us. If there were any doubts about his greatness as a coach, the pandemic season alone should've silenced them. I would've loved to have let him choose his next QB and guide us to more Super Bowls for the next decade+. That we let him leave the building for any price short of naming him Supreme Emperor of Louisiana is unconscionable.
