Was the Saints' Front Office (e.g., Loomis) Fleeced on the Sean Payton Trade?

Sean Payton could care less whose feelings he hurt. He doesn't care if it is Mickey Loomis, or Dennis Allen, or Gayle Benson. Sean has demonstrated that he is bigger than the Saints. Unless this franchise turns things around quickly then they will always be in Sean's shadow and everyone knows it. Don't you think every person in the NFL (players, coaches) realizes that the Saints let Sean get away. If one of the greatest coaches of all time doesn't want to be in New Orleans then why would anyone else?

I don't know why Sean left but if I was Gayle, I would have made him an offer he couldn't refuse. He truly built the Saints. I realize he got a lot of help from Mickey and from Drew.
