In Zen we would call this Beginners Mind. It’s not a slight at all, as a matter of fact the goal is to maintain Beginners Mind as one progresses along the Eightfold Path
i had a theatre friend (younger than me) who had just found the world of dance - he LOVED EVERYTHING he saw. i was jealous of him bc i was way too jaded and 'experienced/educated' to love anything but the most exquisite work
unfortunately he also got jaded and started discerning particular work
