Saw that in maybe the last single screen theater in NYC
Matinee show so not too many in attendance, but our collective reaction to the hobbling scene is something I’ll always remember
Same same.. well, not the NYC part, but i did see Misery in the theater at Thanksgiving break, first semester of college.. other films i saw in the theater right around that time include the excellent Bugsy (still a favorite of mine) and the remake of Cape Fear.. as for Misery , i thought it was very very good- and yet i never felt the need to rewatch it in the thirty years since .
