The team is going down. Change now or the bottom will fall out in a couple of years and after the bottom falls out there is no coming back. We need full rebuild now, before it gets to that point.
If it’s the team, they won’t be under it forever. The league is designed for teams to not stay down very long.
If it’s the fans, fans always come back. Fans came back after Ditka, they came back after Mora resigned, they came back after Haslett, they came back after three straight 7-9 seasons. This doom and gloom that nobody will cheer for them again is misplaced.
