There is nothing wrong with the front office taking a shot and missing. I'm sure everyone meant well. But, but this is a $4 billion franchise with a big investment locally in the Saints doing well. Nothing sells the dome out faster, than hope and a new coach.

I'm guessing, that If they keep DA for another year, it will be because they are selling the team. Then cleaning house would be left for the new owner. Though, the succession has Loomis and DA's job safe, some where. I'm thinking that only applies to the reaming part of the season, and then the new owner could pick his new GM and coach. I'm sure someone knows more than I about how that applies.
