So lost in all the Majors drama has been the fact that Marvel recently announced that they have hired a new writer for "Captain America: Brave New World." Why is this interesting?
Well, the movie is already finished filming.
You may recall that they announced extensive reshoots for the film last month. Like five or six months worth. That time frame plus a new writer indicates they're going to throw out a lot of what they have and start over.
I'd say that's crazy, except they're also doing the same thing with "Daredevil" and have publicly said so.
It's interesting that Marvel seems to be pivoting to fix their issues in real time. I'm not sure I understand fully how things got to the point that this is necessary, but here we are.
