Who is our next 1000 yard back?

Meily, I like your never-say die attitude, but MLU makes a lot more sense. We are all Saints' fans, tried and true. But, what we are saying is don't make Reggie the #1 back. Use him in the running, receiving, and return game. 5 - 10 carries max, with a few of those as WR screens and reverses. KR and PR, and the rest of his touches come up field. If I see the Saints hand it to this kid and watch him dance around behind the line of scrimmage for a whole nother year, I'm gonna puke. Not when I know there are other guys on this team who love to hit the hole hard.

I'm not arguing with that at all, I'm talking about these Madden 08 GM's who wanna make Reggie a wide receiver, because he didn't come into the league dominating to there liking, If Reggie Bush is not running the ball effectively, put someone in that will, I'm don't want him forced into the offense, I'm not saying that at all, but he is a runningback who has receiving skills, he is athletic as h@*# so he can split out wide, that don't make him a receiver, it makes him a runningback that is athletic enough to be split wide!!

He is the 2nd overall pick and signed a 60million dollar contract, why would we not put every effort to get him better at his position? Oh yeah, because PT had a combined 200yrds total offensive game....Jez, are we that hard up to win that one game makes u the "next" great player....we already don't get much respect in this league, why be known as the team that ruined Reggie Bush?

Whoever the better back is, I want starting, or getting the most carries, I don't want him to succeed that bad that I'd hold back the team, but moving. Him to receiver? Is just ridiculous and not realistic at all, they'd put all effort into getting him better as a runner before they would even think to do that, and that wouldn't be till Bush's 5-6yr, but I seriously doubts it takes him that long to learn how to just stop dancing in the backfield and learn patience.

When you draft players this high, you have to have patience....if he was a 4th rounder you'd all be screaming what a find he was, even with the numbers he put up this year, and you "couldn't wait till next year, he's a BEAST"
