I said this here early last year and I got absolutely hammered for it.
It is most certainly a leadership trait to be able to speak clearly and confidently and this trait is one that he just does not possess. You hear a guy stutter, ramble, use “uhh” every other sentence, sound scared or like you don’t know where your thoughts are going, etc…that stuff all matters when you’re talking about someone in charge of a NFL locker room full of lifelong alpha males.
When that trait isn’t possessed, it manifests itself in other ways that exhibit poor leadership.
It was the first sign of many for me that this guy just doesn’t have the “it” factor, and that was the first telltale sign for me that Amy Trask knew what she was talking about when she made her “And I’ll use the word ‘leadership’ loosely” comment back when he got hired here.
