So, I have been listening to a few interviews on XM and youtube, and Dave Grohl really has nothing good to say about Nirvana, or Kurt Cobain lately. I have heard him say, Nirvana's songs are basic, the music seems odd, Nirvana is not allowed to be listened to in the house, Kurt Cobain is just human, let me talk about my family, and the Foo Fighters.
For a band and person that pretty much elevated him from living on the skids, to living a luxurious life style, and helping to kick start his career, he seems like he would rather discuss the color of orange juice.
I guess it's like the remaining members of The Beatles, they seem pretty much completely sick of talking about The Beatles, and just want to promote a book, or something.
"“I was afraid Dave would just roll his eyes, like, ‘Oh great, the butt crevasse from MTV is trying to be my friend. But he opened the package and said ‘Cool, I’ve never had brushes before.’ As it turned out, he used both the sticks and the brushes during the show. It’s nice that the band was so amenable to trying new things.”
Grohl wasn’t out of the woods yet during rehearsal.
When rehearsals began for “Pennyroyal Tea,” Cobain insisted on playing the song by himself at showtime, with Coletti saying,"

I think if Kurt Cobain lived through the year 1995, Grohl would of probably been doing something else. Just a guess, but maybe it was the song Marigold that put Kurt on edge.
Anyways, I think to combat Dave Grohl's ban on Nirvana being played in the house, anyone who likes Nirvana should not listen to the Foo Fighters, and request radio stations to never play the Foo Fighters.
Just say no!
