Who is our next 1000 yard back?

Meily, I like your never-say die attitude, but MLU makes a lot more sense. We are all Saints' fans, tried and true. But, what we are saying is don't make Reggie the #1 back. Use him in the running, receiving, and return game. 5 - 10 carries max, with a few of those as WR screens and reverses. KR and PR, and the rest of his touches come upfield. If I see the Saints hand it to this kid and watch him dance around behind the line of scrimmage for a whole nother year, I'm gonna puke. Not when I know there are other guys on this team who love to hit the hole hard.

You will get your wish, b/c thats what SP does. I disagree with it, I believe Reggie should touch the ball 15-20 times out of the backfield until he proves he can't take the punishment. Don't come back and say he already has proven that, b/c he takes more hard hits on the swing passes and over the middle stuff then he does running the ball. Think about where his injuries came...usually passing plays where he was off balance trying to cut.

If you show me he can't run, i'll be content with putting him wherever he can contribute.

To the guy you just said Reggie has never been even average. Go look how many backs have had close to 100 catches and over 1100 all purpose yards two years straight. Then we'll talk about average and good.
