Ryan Clark Calls Sean Payton a Thug

I absolutely agree and yes there are more than one way to win. It’s only my opinion that his style works when you’re winning. How is coach McDaniel perceived when they aren’t winning?? Does this style still work?
How is any coach perceived when he isn’t winning?

“Oh, he’s not doing xyz right, he should consider trying abc instead”
It’s yet to be seen early in his tenure there.
Members of this message board have given Sean Payton the moon and the stars for his early work with the Saints. Hasty judgment serves nobody. Being first to a criticism comes with no prize.
I do know Sean has endured losing seasons and we had worked through it, 2007-2008 and 2014-2016. Aside from our Super Bowl year I think his best coaching jobs were 2006 and 2021.
Add 2013 in there because it would have been easy for him to flop after the year off but the team was inspired and on point from the start. Not a team I expected to win it all but played hard in 18 games.
