Ryan Clark Calls Sean Payton a Thug

What seems to have happened here is pretty dodgy bordering on illegal. Benching players because they won't renegotiate away part of their contract seems like an act of coercion. They are basically going to ruin his reputation and career if he doesn't do away with his contract.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up in court and with SP suspended assuming that he is responsible.

I'd be hiring DeVito's manager. He looks like he might 'know some people' to sort this out properly.
Is it really any different than a player getting benched for poor play or benched because they know it’s over and they need to move on from his contract?
