I’m going to keep saying it because it’s the truth. What they owe us, strictly from an entertainment perspective, is to not go out and sabotage their own capability. What that means is that Derek Carr doesn’t suddenly throw 40 passes a game with his left hand, Alvin Kamara doesn’t do breakdance moves when he receives a handoff, Cam Jordan doesn’t sit cross-legged on the ground when the ball is snapped, and so forth. They are to go out there and exert effort. NO GIVEN RESULT IS GUARANTEED TO YOU, ME, OR THE MAN IN THE TREE. They are not out there competing against shadows. EVERYBODY in the NFL wants to win. You are conflating “these aren’t the results I prefer” with “these guys are personally offending my sensibilities” and it’s childish at this point.
You don’t know the airlines I don’t fly, charitable organizations I’ve withdrawn donations/volunteer time to, vehicle brands I no longer consider when I’m ready for a new one, computer models I won’t purchase anymore, or a very long list of things about me, based on how I approach fanhood of a frickin’ sports team. What I’ve learned about you is that the success of our favorite football team spoiled you and now you’re incessantly braying all over a message board and souring others’ experience with your negativity. You’re not a fun read any longer and I’m withdrawing future engagement with anything you post here.
