Are you willing to get the Covid vaccine when offered?

Well, the COVID bug hit our house on Monday. Happy New Year! I can tell you this. We first got COVID in November of 2020 and hit the whole family. We were worn out, stuffy, aches and pains, cough, the works. The best part is that as a family, we were home for two weeks so we binged Breaking Bad. Got through it all and came out okay. We all got vaccinated and boosted. Admittedly, I have not had an up to date booster and now, I'm immune for 90 days but will get the booster next fall. My first and second vaccination, HOLY GOD, did I feel like I wanted to die! Slept 24 hours on each shot and took me three days to feel normal. Horrible. Didn't bother my wife at all when she got the vaccine. Booster was a half dose so I slept for 12 hours.

Fast forward to now and we have this variant of COVID and she is coughing, super headaches and so on. Me? Tired, stuffed up, no serious coughing, actually sneezing which is good and some headaches but coherent. Yes, when we had it the first time, I was so out of it. Now, I can type this and feel fine. My wife joked that maybe since the vaccine killed me, that set me up to fight COVID that much more. Who knows.

It hit us on Monday, which technically means we probably got it on Friday or Saturday so our five days are up on Sunday. Good thing as we have to drive to NJ on Monday to drop my daughter back at college and I need to be on point in that traffic. Where we got it? Who knows. My son's band played three gigs this past weekend and there was a lot of meeting new people, seeing old friends and general people as well. Could have come from anywhere.

I know there are many, MANY opinions on the vaccine but I just know that it has worked for us.
