2023 Season thoughts
Inconsistent, underperformed.
Season recap
I must admit they have shown some fight so I don't think we can get rid of DA even though I think his fate will be sealed after next season's much tougher schedule.
I'm as pleased with a blowout of the Falcons as anyone. All today did was make most of us say, "Where has this been?"
I hope the organization is not lulled to sleep by the last 3-4 of offensive performance and keep PC.
Personnel - We have gotten old right before our eyes. I'm sure discussions will be had on Cam, Tyrann (although I think he played really well the last 5-6 weeks), DeMario, Michael Thomas has probably played his last game as a Saint and could it be Alvin has too? RB's generally fall off of a cliff after 30 years old. AK is 29. Then there is the Latt discussion. When healthy he is a top 5 CB. Unfortunately, he has missed almost half of the last two seasons.
Season changer - There could have been many different outcomes but could you point to the 3rd game of the season against Green Bay with a chance to go 3-0 to start the season? We go into the 4th quarter with a 17-0 lead which we held until the Packers finally scored with about 11 minutes left...A FG at that. This one game would have put us in the playoffs where we could have seen if the offense really had figured it out.
Glad to see we didn't screw up our draft position to bad it looks like the win cost us maybe 2-3 spots not more. The only bummer is with a loss it looks like Denver will be drafting right in front of us during the first round.
Until draft discussion, WhoDat!
