Jeff Duncan: Inside the Saints Culture Issues

My boss is not a good leader at all. I work hard because I am paid to work hard. I take personal responsibility for my work ethic and performance. Players should do the same.
In principle I agree. In practical terms, you're dealing with a lot of young men who are newly flush with cash that probably lack certain life skills and discipline habits. They need to be led and motivated by a superior with a coherent vision and structure.

I'm not in the locker room but DA doesnt exactly exude strength and leadership in what the public gets to see. That said, we had this sort of culture crisis under Sean Payton as well during the Rob Ryan years. They got rid of a ton of core players, including Jimmy Graham, as a response. Unfortunately it took another 3 years to get over the hump of mediocrity.

It’s funny that Loomis has said it’s “stupid” to think that Allen lost the locker room, while also pushing out this propaganda that Allen lost the locker room.

I don't understand Loomis' antagonistic responses to the fanbase lately. He seems to smart to be saying some of the things he is. What is he up to?
