NOF: Saints in position to get under the cap with ease and create another $30+ million in cap space to add new players

It's not being a know it all. You have your opinion and I have mine. I think your opinion relies on a lot of assumptions where mine is drawn from things I can see in the data, which I am at least providing for context. If my math is wrong, I welcome someone to come in and correct me because I am trying to understand this part of football more than I did a few years ago. I think it helps the discussion to work to understand how the cap works, how most teams in the league manage the cap, how our team manages the cap and what the repercussions of the different strategies are in real terms. The terms we are most familiar with is the Saints cap situation which is vastly different than all other teams.
Did you not read my very next post? Because why say this when i addressed it already?

And to be clear, I've never once said your suggested approach is wrong. I'm not trying to sell you anything. I'm just saying there are multiple approaches and there are advantages and disadvantages to both approaches, that is all. There's room for discussing both approaches.

And for all we know, Loomis might decide working back to a more traditional approach might be the way forward and it's going to take time to get there.

Again, I'll say, none of us have a crystal ball, or have access to Loomis' grand plan. We'll just have to wait and see how he approaches this offseason.
