Mike McCarthy will be back in 2024

One of their biggest personnel mistakes was allowing Amari Cooper to leave via FA to Cleveland after the 2021 post-season. Cooper gave them that extra, #2 WR Pro-Bowl caliber role where he produced 1,000 yards and added an extra dimension to the Cowboys passing offense. Besides Lamb and a good, up-and-coming TE in Ferguson, and a serviceable TE in Schultz, their WR corps lacks depth. Cooper provided them that depth and allowing him to leave was, and still is, mind-boggling. Especially considering how great of a WR he's become with the Browns over the past two seasons.
Even worse, he didn’t leave, they traded him for peanuts (a 5th rounder and a swap of 6th’s).

They definitely could use him considering how paper thin their depth is at the position.
