Falcons Have Second Interview With Bill Belichick (Now Likely To Be Falcons HC)

The problem is Atlanta is very talented and was just missing a coach and a QB. They could solve both of those by hiring Belichick, drafting a QB and/or signing a dude like Kirk Cousins. However I will say he is getting up in age and will be 72 at the start of the season which might save us.
Kirk Cousins is a good, top 10, above-average QB who will have a very good offense in Atlanta like he did in Minnesota as well as Washington, but he's also coming back and rehabbing a pretty severe MCL ankle injury (?) and he'll be 35 years old next season. He's only got maybe 1 or 2 seasons of close to Pro-Bowl caliber type play in him. He's a good "start-up" QB until a better, more successful option comes along similar to how he viewed Drew Bledsoe when he first became Patriots HC in 2000. Now, if BB could somehow land another Jared Goff, Josh Allen-esque QBs, Atlanta might be a contender for a long time. I don't think he'll get or has the draft capital to acquire Caleb Williams or frankly Jayden Daniels. It takes a whole sheetload of trades of picks and players just to rise from #8 overall to #4-5, God forbid #2 or #3 and Chicago will demand an entire royal family's ransom to even consider discussions of trading their #1 overall pick in this year's upcoming draft.

If I was the Bears GM, I would make it abundantly clear to any and all teams GM's I will demand and expect immense compensation for anyone who dares, EVEN WISHES to sit at my table and talk business about trading up for our #1 pick over the next few months, much less Draft Day.
