Falcons Have Second Interview With Bill Belichick (Now Likely To Be Falcons HC)

Atlanta has a lot of draft capital. Their first pick is #8 overall (1400 draft points), they also have a second rounder #43 overall (470 draft points) and two third #74 overall (220 draft points) and #79 overall (195 draft points). This last pick #79, can move up to #48 overall (420 draft points) if Jacksonville reaches a contract extension with Calvin Ridley. (That was a SLICK trade by Atlanta.)

If Ridley signs an extension with Jacksonville, that would give Atlanta the following draft picks with these draft trade points.

#8 (1400 points)
#43 (470 points)
#48 (420 points)
#74 (220 points)
Total 2510, without a Ridley extension it's 2285 points.

To get up to #2 overall (Washington), it would take at least 2600 points. They could almost get there with just these picks, if the Jacksonvulle 3rd becomes a 2nd.

To get to #3 overall (New England), it would take at least 2200 draft points. To get to #4 overall (Arizona) it would take at least 1800 draft points.

Face it, Atlanta is going to try to make a big move up to get one of the top 3 QB's in this draft if they really want one. They will have enough draft picks to move up.

BB, with a rookie QB, who turns out to be good, could put the hurt to this division for years.

Draft pick value charts are all fantasy. Remember what the Panthers gave up to go from 9 to 1 just last year. A future 1st, two 2nds and DJ Moore. No way the Falcons move into the top 3 without giving up their 2025 1st and probably more. The more likely scenario for them is trading for Justin Fields.
