As I posted a couple posts ago, Abramowicz was OC during the Ditka years, and had Heath Shuler, the Billy Joes, Danny Wuerffel, and a drunk Kerry Collins to work with. Hard to judge what he would've done in a somewhat stable situation, with semi-decent QB's and semi decent WRs instead of Keith Poole and Brett Bech.
Carl Smith gets a lot of heat for the Saints getting bounced out of the playoffs in the first round. Those days, we also had the pleasure of watching the best offense in football in the Saints division, the 49ers of Walsh and Montana.
