With all the hype about getting someone new, I would rather the unproven guy than Gruden. It’s not like Gruden was churning out dominant offenses every year when he had Carr, and with no defense they had all the incentive in the world to rack up yards and points.

Curry knows the players, knows the system, and he’s in a position to build his own version of the offense on that foundation without another one year learning curve for Carr. For as much as the McVay/Shanahan system is hyped, that system is constantly evolving to fit changing rosters as well as changes in defensive strategy.

Maybe our offense can experience it’s own evolution if Curry is up for the task, we could possibly pluck a position coach from the right team and elevate them to a pass or run game coordinator to help with integrating new ideas.
