Reminds me of a game of Madden I played back in college. Me and another guy in my athletics dorm were pretty much known as the top 2 Madden players on campus (at least for our social bubble). We had many close games together but he could never beat me; I was the ultimate challenge.
One day he did get the edge on me and led by less than a touchdown with seconds to go, and he started kneeling the ball...in my head I knew the math would leave me with a second or two. Whole time him and his friend group were celebrating while I just kept my mouth shut as he kneeled the ball on fourth down, leaving me one second to go. The look on his face when he saw what just happened was priceless.
Moments later, a 40+ yard bomb to Alvin Harper for a touchdown happens, and I beat him once again, and me and my roommates celebrated like we just won a Super Bowl in real life. And I think that was the last time he ever played me.
The moral of the story...never turn down ANY chance. You never know what could happen with even just one second, and that's ESPECIALLY the case if you're playing against a cursed franchise like the Lions. :ROFLMAO:
