One of the interesting things that these offenses do is just varying the snap count. Every now and then, just snap the ball the instant you get to the line. Carr likes to do his hard counts to get a read on the defense, but sometimes it’s better to just snap the ball before the defense can assess the formation and get aligned.
It’s almost the same idea as trying to confuse the defense with motion, the defense has little time to communicate before the ball is snapped. Also, the defenders that are trying to sell coverage before stepping up into a blitz position are too far away to impact the play when the ball gets snapped during the sell.
