I loved RB as a player because he was the exact opposite of what I thought he would be.....for a guy that rarely had to pass protect in college, he got very good at it, very quickly.....people always look at the rush/rec yards (as I did earlier - guilty) but there are a number of backs who stick around because of both receiving skills and pass pro.....RB and the other Faulk (Kevin) are good examples IMO.....

Agreed on his pass blocking. It's pretty clear he did his homework and understood blocking assignments. I'd laugh when another one of the RBs would spell Bush and completely whiff on their blocks and Payton would flip out on the sidelines. Bush did a lot of things well, but it took him a few years to really get some traction as a go to RB.
